Sean and Johnny are buddies since young; they grew up together and studied in the same high school. Even though they carry different personality and characters, one thing in common is that they had gone through many things together; especially with this 1 girl, Nichole.
Nichole was the sweetest and most popular girl in their school. With her sweet looks, confidence and sociable character, she was always the center of attention and looked very outstanding compared with all the other girls then. This had made these two best friends, and not forgetting their seniors in school attracted and crazed about her. Started since her 15, she was the most popular dates for the seniors for tea dance after school. And at weekends, she was the most favorite dates for the seniors to bring along to those 18th birthday parties.
Sean and Johnny had witnessed many relationships Nichole gone through, those boys that she brought along with her hands clinched onto. But all these relationships never lasted long. Every time she got broken off, either one of them was at her side, comforting her and put her through. Sean and Johnny had to wait till their 18th to invite her for birthday parties.
In the summer of 90, their graduation year in the high school that year. The whole class went for a short visit to the art gallery. As the whole class progressed into the second section of the gallery, Nichole grasped Johnny’s hand and pulled him to the corner. With all the artifacts and art pieces, they kissed in front of the most romantic painting. Johnny was stunned with her act, but felt very happy deep down his heart. He dared not progress after that as he was having a girl friend at that time. Johnny was miserable: “Should I leave Ann and go for Nichole?” Without waiting for Johnny, Nichole went on dating with Michael, the basketball school team captain the very next month.
Later on in December of 90, Sean bumped into Nichole in the street of his neighborhood. Her pair of beautiful eyes was covered with tears that had melted Sean’s heart. He immediately responded by hugging her into his warmth chest, comforting her cold body against the strong wind that whole night. That day onwards, he called every day to cheer her up with jokes and went out with her the whole month. One of the nights at the fun fair, she held him over and kissed him on the cheek. Without saying anything to Sean, she left immediately the very next day to New York to further her study. Sean was devastated: “It is not fair, what I need is just some more time!”
Both Sean and Johnny knew about each other’s stories but choose to avoid topics on Nichole as they afraid this would hinder their friendship. This is their best kept open secret – their sweetest painful experience.

FIRST KISS IS THE DEEPEST
How to have superb kissing skill? A 35 years old virgin will, by and large like a half-dead man in the dessert desperately looking for spring water, dying to savor the woman. He will try to suck as hard as possible the flavor of her mouth. Some even would fast-forward a few step by putting in straight his big fat tongue into her mouth, sipping each drop like a kid having his first pumpkin soup and leaving behind a mouthful of saliva. Nick has failed to impress her tonight again as Michelle is expecting an improved, if not superb kisser that will first tease-fully kiss and nibble softly her lips, warming her up before she takes on the breath-taking action.
For Nick, Michelle is his first serious girl friend that he could advance to. Most of previous relationships were expired at level 1, i.e. dating stage. For him, besides his mom who had kissed him before, the next one would be his 2 year old niece. Kissing is never a subject in school and he has never been given a chance to learn. He scored a D but this was his best score so far. I've DONE it!
For Michelle, a popular girl way back in school that has never been given a break by all these boys and men, is a master degree holder in this field. She could judge a man’s level of excitement or interest on her by his kiss. A session French kisser means a fun-time player that is looking for lust but not long term relationship. Otherwise, a gentle kisser who is responsive to her reaction means a person treasuring her and that is the type she likes the most. But not the green horn that pin her down immediately to suck her mouth without waiting for her feedback and guides. Tonight is a big D for him. DAMN idiot!
First kiss is supposed to be sweet and memorable, but for Nick it is merely a nightmare, a test failed and most importantly, an unsuccessful foreplay for “further development”.

THE EVIDENCE OF EXISTENCE
It is not hard to find thousands of books when you take a visit to any bookstore, or thousands of art pieces when you visit to any museum or gallery. Million of ideas, philosophies, emotions and feelings being captured and encrypted onto these book, these artifacts that signified that this person, the author or creator, were here before.
Over the weekend, Sean was doing some reading. It is his interest, especially reading on Chinese history. Ironically, he had seldom passed this subject during school. But one thing for sure, to learn about 5,000 years of Chinese philosophies and culture had fascinated him.
Take a tour of history, we’ll find that many great emperors, kings or generals tended to use their power to show mightiness through the creation of gigantic monuments, stunning architectures and larger territory. Through all these incidents, people and philosophies, some form of pattern was observed. The fall of one dynasty signified rise of another dynasty. Many events had significantly changed the world we live today. But if we take on these 5,000 years and summarized into 50 minutes, how many of these events and people will be recorded and remembered?
In this modern era, many affluent and wealthy have set up their own private funds, leaving a legacy to help people and be remembered. Whereas, for those people at the grass root level, what they have is only leaving behind their descendants, if not a bunch of bloody unpaid debts.
As a non-affluent working class that doesn’t posses any artistic talent, Sean asked himself: “What am I leaving behind? What is the evidence of my existence?”
